Howdy, everybody. I'm so excited! It's March, things are blooming and I just got a house with a huge yard where a Master Gardener used to live! I can't wait to see what some of this stuff is going to be. AND, I have a Mulberry tree! I live in Calhoun county. Anybody live near here?

"Howdy."  Yes, you're Mississippi.  Where is Calhoun County?  I am from Mississippi also, and I also am a new member.  I joined a month after you.

What Congressional District do you live in?  District 1?  I am running for House of Representatives in District 1, but I live in District 4, Hattiesburg----a little metropolitan.  I would prefer to live in the country, if you know what I mean.  I just came back from campaigning at the Tupelo Tea Party in Tupelo (of course), where the Tea Party Express went through.  Do you pay attention to politics?  Got to, before Obama takes away all our rights, land, etc. -----BarbaraDale

Hey JS,  how exciting to buy a place where a master gardener lived.  should have some wonderful surprises.  I live in ther New Orleans area, but my husband and I purchased a place in Tyertown.  You're north east of us.  We're just now putting in some decorative trees and  blueberry bushes.  this spring I'll try a veggie garden.  Good luck with your new home.

Hey, JS! I'm in Oktibbeha - almost 3 yrs ago moved back home from Rankin cty. Older home w/nothing in the yard. I forego food to buy plants but finally have a yard of which I am very proud. So much water has stressed a lot though. Hope you weren't hit too hard by the storm.
